The Sixth Squad reports the arrest of a Great Neck man for an incident that occurred on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 9:30 pm in Great Neck.

According to Detectives, officers responded to a Florence Avenue residence for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers were informed that a verbal argument occurred between the Defendant Eric Vasquez, 34, of Great Neck and a male victim, 40. The argument escalated and the defendant stabbed the victim in the neck multiple times with a foldable knife. Fearing for his safety, the victim called 911. A short time later, the defendant was located and placed under arrest without incident.

Defendant Eric Vasquez is charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He will be arraigned on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
